MATTI

I was born in Finland, but grew up in Sweden. While living in Sweden, I attended the School of Performing Arts in Gothenburg and I’ve since moved back to Finland. I’m a versatile entertainer, having performed in about 20 musicals and shows on some of Europe’s biggest stages. These have included the Gothenburg Opera house and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, with parts in Grease and West Side Story. I’ve played the lead in Hair, been in Jesus Christ Superstar, London the Musical, and Some like it Hot. During my career I’ve also performed at Wallmans Salonger and Color Fantasy. I have also been part of the ‘Ella Singers’ crew on board Viking Line’s ferries. My band ‘Train to Spain’ is recording new material as we speak. On board M/S Viking Grace I will be singing, performing and spreading joy in unexpected ways. Until then, you can find me on board M/S Viking Gabriella.

JONATHAN

I began my musical career at the age of 15 when I started a rock band in my hometown of Pietarsaari. Later on, I became a history and social sciences teacher, but one day I found myself wandered into the life of a professional musician instead of the staff room. I’ve worked as a troubadour entertaining guests in numerous restaurants. This line of work led me to start performing in pubs on board Viking Line’s ships. Life at sea appealed to me, and since 2009 I have been working as a host and a cruise manager at Viking Line. At the moment I’m working on board M/S Viking Amorella. My passion for music extends beyond work – besides being a singer I’m also a songwriter and a producer. My first solo album was released in 2012. I always have my guitar close at hand and I’m always ready to perform your favorite songs!

EMMY

I’m the youngest member of the M/S Viking Grace family of entertainment. Prior to this, I was part of M/S Viking Amorella’s entertainment crew. I’m basically a cheerful, wacky Finnish-Swedish girl who loves to sing. I come from a boisterous, loving family consisting of a mom and a dad, four kids and several dogs. I think that’s why I have a soft spot for people of all ages – and animals of course! When I was 13 I got my first summer job. Since then I’ve worked at a kindergarten, at Moominworld, as a guide and as a hotel receptionist. I’ve sold fast food and even Christmas trees. Now, having ended up on board M/S Viking Grace, I’m ready to entertain you! During the cruise you’ll find me in different costumes and places, ready to pop up where you least expect it. My favorite activities are Karaoke and Bingo, due to the fact that anyone can participate regardless of age or gender. What’s nicer than having fun together? I’m very much looking forward to new games and surprises. Ship-ahoy, M/S Viking Grace in sight. Welcome aboard!

HANNU

Hello, I’m Hannu Okkonen, an energetic entertainer with a personal touch. I have roots in Oulu, but I’ve attended the University of Rovaniemi and nowadays I live in Helsinki. I have a Master’s degree in Education and I’ve also spent a few years abroad studying and working as a guide. Eight years ago, I found myself working in the entertainment business. I was put in charge of hosting karaoke and DJ-ing. I gradually moved on to more challenging tasks such as hosting and donning different on-stage roles. These days I have a broad repertoire, and various on-stage personas to tap into when needed. This comes in useful as I work for many event marketing agencies. On board M/S Viking Grace you find me in various places – I’ll be hosting competitions, entertaining children, and performing at night clubs. Come by one of the clubs! You’ll be meeting an easy going guy with a talent for reaching out to many different types of audiences. Cheers!

KAISA

I have been part of Viking Line’s entertainment crew for many years. During the last few years I have mainly been responsible for creating unforgettable moments for the younger audience. I’ve hosted activities in the playrooms and other children’s venues – at times in collaboration with Viking Line’s mascot Ville Viking. The ability to bring joy to children and to take part in their joy is a must for any successful children’s entertainer. I appreciate the fact that my job is both varied and productive. I face new challenges every day and this keeps me in high spirits. Sometimes I quickly change into high heels and dash off to host karaoke for the adult passengers. It’s a great privilege to have the chance to meet such a variety of people. Another favorite aspect of my job is the chance to bring joy to people of all ages. I always do my best to give guests my fullest attention, and I’m so grateful every time I see big smiles spread across their faces. That’s the kind of feedback that lets me know I’ve done a great job.

NANNA

I have a broad education within Sports and Leisure, specializing in sports tourism and many other leisure related subjects. I’ve trained at the Sports Institute of Finland and studied outdoor adventure sports at Norway’s Høgskolen i Nord-Trøndelag. I have also attended the University of Applied Science in Vierumäki – a place where sports and the beauty of nature make for a perfect combination. I started off as a sports instructor on board M/S Festival. Later on, I also became an events- and program hostess. These days I work on board M/S Viking Amorella as a program hostess for children. This is where I will be until the beautiful M/S Viking Grace points her bow towards Stockholm. I look forward to meeting energetic, smiling children, great times and all the memorable experiences that Ville Viking and I will be providing you with.
